Seth, Jon D., and I hiked down the canyon to the little village of Supai, AZ. It is right outside of the Grand Canyon and one of the few places left in the country where the mail is delivered by mule train. It also happens to come with almost unreal looking blue green water and several stunning waterfalls.

Before starting the hike down. It was nice and warm during the day, but pretty close to freezing at night so the mornings were chilly.

There are a lot of semi feral dogs running around and this little guy adopted us for a while.

One of the tunnels you descend through to reach Mooney Falls.

This combination of ladders bolted to the rock, and chains to hold on to allowed you to reach the base of Mooney Falls, but made me a little nervous.

Jon cooking with his flash light in his mouth as he doesn't have a headlamp.

Havasu Falls.

Little Navajo Falls.

And 50 Foot Falls, my personal favorite.

End of Gardening

Not too long ago, I picked all the remaining stuff in my little garden before we started to get consistent hard freezes here in town. And now it's been snowing for three days. I guess winter is here.

Government Shutdown

No stopping along the road, no pulling into pullouts, no stopping for photos, I'm surprised they didn't buy drapes to hang over the mountains.
