I love dried fruit and take it backpacking and skiing often. And when I can find cheep or free fruit to start from, it's much cheeper to make my own, not to mention how much better it tastes. This pile is part of what I've dried recently. (Just for reference, most of those bags are gallon sized ziplocks.) There's pears, apples, bananas, pineapple, mango, raisins, and pumpkin seeds so far. I'm so blessed to always have enough food and look forward to eating it all up while hanging out in the middle of nowhere.
